Growing demand

For more than three years, the Lünen location has been firmly established in the EWT supply chain. Open and covered storage areas for bulk goods are offered in the city harbour there. And this with growing demand.

In order to continue to be able to meet this demand in line with demand, the high-performance modern vehicle fleet at the Lünen city harbour location was expanded once again. The trucks, which are equipped with steel and aluminium troughs, are in operation around the clock in order to process the actual volume as required.

Continuous availability of contact persons 24 hours a day, seven days a week, ensures optimum scheduling of transports and goods.

Additional services

Upon request, EWT experts can support the customer’s quality management. In this way, various parameters of the incoming and outgoing goods (e.g. pH content, grading curve, etc.) can be determined on site so that the goods can pass through the transport chain in the specification requested by the customer. In addition, EWT’s forwarding fleet, as a qualified partner, is equipped with the appropriate transport permits for waste transports.

 

Hub Munich: New impulses for the logistics sector

These and other questions will be discussed by logistics industry players at this year’s transport logistic from 4 to 7 June at Messe München. With over 2,000 international exhibitors, transport logistic is the world’s leading trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management, and every two years it offers a comprehensive programme on the logistics market, trends and innovations in the sector.

Both the conference programme and the Career Day will focus, among other things, on the lack of specialists in the logistics sector. On the career day of transport logistic, employers and employees will meet directly on site at JobMatching – a kind of speed dating. The search for junior staff, changed job profiles and requirements will also be discussed live by high-ranking representatives from the business and logistics sectors. A further highlight of the fair are the specific logistics networks, such as air cargo Europe, where the air freight industry exchanges information, and metropolitan logistic. Here, everything revolves around the “logistics of the last mile”, i.e. CEP services and city logistics, such as competition for space on inner-city roads or the topic of sustainability in city logistics.

Since May 1, 2014, Mr. Tarkan Sarikaya has boosted our fleet team as a driver while our new Daimler Benz Actros has enlarged the number of our fleet vehicles.

Mr Sarikaya will mainly take over transports for the construction materials industry in the Sauerland area. With different hauliers in commission, we transport a variety of bulk goods for the construction materials industry in this area and in the Ruhr Area.
